Hockety Pockety

Right about now, I wish I had the ability to shrink all of our stuff down into one carpet bag. Wouldn't that make for a fast move?

But, I do have to say the funniest moment in this move so far has been something Mike said to me the other day. He said, "Oh, by the way, I found some of the vacuum attachments in our bathroom and put them back with the vacuum."
Confused, I asked, "Where did you find vacuum attachments in the bathroom?"

"In the cupboard with all of your hair stuff. I thought it was weird too," he responded.

"Oh! Those aren't vacuum attachments!" I said finally putting it all together,

"Those are hair dryer attachments"

He still doesn't believe that those are effective hair dryer attachments! :) To give him credit though - one of them really did look like something you'd use on a vacuum!

Random Silliness

We've been so busy around here with packing and moving! But, we've still had some time for a little silliness too.

Hmm...Daddy's asleep. At least, he looks like he is. Better test him.

Yep, pretty sure he's out 'cause he would have moved that DVD by now...or at least stopped me from making a mess with the movies.

You still sleeping under there? Okay then.

Matchmaker, matchmaker...
Now that there's no books on the bookshelves, Mike decided it would be fun to put the girls on the shelves. As you can see, they did not agree.

Daddy's so mean! But, Mom is guilty of encouraging his behavior by getting out the camera instead of rescuing the victims right away. Picture for posterity first, comfort second, girls.

And, toady after dinner, Mike and Katie were playing hide 'n seek. He got the brilliant idea to hide under Katie's bed. It didn't take him long to realize that he doesn't fit under Katie's bed.

Um, Dad? I found you already. You aren't very good at this are you?

I Love This

Packing up and Moving out

I'm starting to pack things up for moving. You never realize how much stuff you actually have until you have to fit it all into boxes. If anyone around here has extra boxes, please send them my way - I could really use them! And thank you to those who already have!

By Color

I love things organized by color. It makes me happy just to look at it. I'm thinking when we move into the new house, I might try an experiment and organize our things by color.

This picture makes me want to buy dishes in all colors just so I can arrange shelves like this.

See what I mean?

On the Menu

I made this for dinner tonight for the second time. It is really good and Mike LOVES it. I cut out a few ingredients that I don't like, and it still turned out really well. I think it's going into our regular dinner rotation.

Get Human

One of my greatest pet peeves is calling a so-called customer service line and having to "talk" to a computer for ten minutes (if it even goes that long without hanging up on me!) in order to get to a real human being. Today, I was very grateful for this website. It has a huge list of companies, and how to bypass their telephone systems to get directly to a real person. Now, whether you actually get help once you talk to the human is a different issue, but at least you're not listening to a computer say, "I'm sorry..." over and over again. So frustrating!
